Faculty MemberMr. IM Sophal, a faculty member of School of Business, specialization in Accounting and Financial Management. He received his bachelor degree in Accounting from Faculty of Business, Cambodia in Corporation with Georgetown University, U.S.A. and master degree in Financial Management from Cambodia University for Specialties.
IM Sophal has served as a labor inspection official of Ministry of Labor (ML) from 1997 to 2002, a core workforce official for development of Cambodian Financial and Securities Market, Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) from 2007 to 2008, and a head of securities depository supervision division, Securities and Exchange Commission of Cambodia (SECC) from 2009 to 2021. He is currently a director of audit department, Non-Bank Financial Service Authority (NFSA).
He has taught various subjects in accounting, finance, and audit. His current research interests include investors and market intermediaries, securities market infrastructure, and global financial markets and products.
