Sario T. Pio
LecturerDr. Sario T. Pio has been a dedicated faculty member of the University of Cambodia since 2014, serving under the School of Business. With over a decade of university-level teaching experience, he brings a wealth of expertise in Management, Marketing, and Research. His academic foundation includes a Doctor of Education in Educational Management from Baguio Central University, Philippines, complemented by advanced studies in Special Education, Psychology, and Educational Leadership.
Dr. Pio’s interdisciplinary background extends beyond academia. He has served in various capacities in international and non-governmental organizations including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), International Organization for Migration (IOM), and Health[e]Foundation, working across Southeast Asia, South Sudan, and Kosovo. His roles have ranged from organizational psychologist to mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) specialist, project manager, and human resources executive.
His teaching is grounded in real-world experience and informed by extensive involvement in research, curriculum development, and training across diverse contexts. At UC, Dr. Pio is especially committed to mentoring students and guiding graduate-level research. His teaching philosophy centers on active student engagement, applied learning, and socially responsive education.
Dr. Pio is also an active speaker and facilitator in seminars on stress management, youth development, and community empowerment, reflecting his enduring commitment to holistic education and community impact.
